With Great Service and a New Location, Comes Great Expectation.

In central Minnesota, there are two seasons: Winter, and road construction on the way to the lake. In the state where there are 10,000 reasons to be outside, boat maintenance isn’t always the first thought that crosses people’s minds. For the folks at In Tune Marine, however, boat service and maintenance is a lifestyle. Like any small town, word travels fast, and when it comes to people’s boats, quality service is infectious. Approaching their 10 Year Anniversary, word of In Tune Marine’s service has spread across the area with high merit and has evolved into a trusted one stop shop for all boating needs. Having just relocated to Richmond and expanded into a State of the Art facility, the folks at In Tune Marine are excited to have a place that can accommodate the demand of customers more efficiently.
In Tune Marine was founded by Kyle Jochman and Amy Lehmeier back in 2006, and shortly thereafter, they were joined by Cold Spring native Jeff Torgerson. From humble beginnings, tucked back in the sticks north of Cold Spring by the old Hooper’s tree farm, the one-man repair shop, In Tune Motorsports was born. For Kyle and Jeff, engines were a way of life long before the marine repair shop came into fruition. Prior to In Tune Marine’s birth, Jeff and Kyle attended Alexandria Technical College, and shortly after, the two owners shared similar occupations in the Professional Snowmobile racing scene as mechanics for some of the best racers in the country.
“Racing was a whole other expectation of quality, fit, and finish,” said Jochman.
Much of Kyle and Jeff’s expertise in snow cross engines, has shaped a common attitude for each engine coming through In Tune Marine’s doors today.
“It was very high pressure situations and there was no room for error, we’ve just carried that on to our Business philosophy,” Torgerson explains.
Kyle and Jeff have held much of the spotlight for In Tune Marine’s reputation, but behind the scenes, Amy Lehmeier holds the glue that keeps the team together and performing top notch. Having been there since the beginning, Amy is the books that keep In Tune Marine in check and on budget. Amy is a mother of 2 kids and a full time registered nurse working in the ICU at St. Cloud Hospital.
The 3 owners credit their success to their employees and customers. As Amy kindly shared, “I wasn't expecting that word would travel as well as it did, or the impact that a small group of loyal customers could have. We owe it all to them.”
Investing in the most highly trained and skilled technicians, has been key to managing the exponential growth in demand. Today, the four service specialists Aaron Torborg, Adam Taylor, Dan Rapaway, and Loren Evens don’t fall far from the tree, and have received high merit for their great service and quick turnaround time.
Richmond Native, Aaron Torborg, explains the service process with confidence. “Our biggest thing is not doing bits and pieces of the job. We don’t do band-aids. Keeping boats on the water, means focusing on preventative maintenance. We give our customers an accurate and honest quote before we go any further, and make sure they know what they are getting from us. Communicating these things honestly and effectively is crucial.”
In Tune Marine is built on a Strong Service department, but has evolved into a full fledged dealership. Representing some of the largest brands in the marine industry like Triton Boats, Palm Beach Pontoons, Mercury Outboards, Yamaha Outboards, and Evinrude Outboards to name a few.
After being named the top Palm Beach Pontoon dealer in the entire Nation for the past 3 years straight, it’s safe to say that expansion was necessary. At their new location, the old Richmond Concrete Products building, In Tune Marine has a showroom that can further add value to the customer experience rain or shine. The three sales specialists ( Nick Marcus, Aaron Teal, and Sara Torgerson) bring a wide array of industry knowledge. With their fishing backgrounds, Aaron Teal and Nick Marcus can not only help with finding a boat, but also help customers catch fish.
With great service, comes great expectation.
See You At The Lake.
